Trump Gloats Over NYC Mayoral Election 'Mess': Report
Former president Donald Trump issued a statement claiming "nobody will ever know who really won" the city's mayoral primary, a report says.

NEW YORK CITY — Former president Donald Trump gloated the chaos swirling over the city's mayoral primary and declared it a "mess," according to a report.
Trump sent an email message to supporters that repeated thoroughly debunked false claims about his substantial loss in the 2020 presidential election, the New York Daily News first reported Wednesday.
“Just like in the 2020 Presidential Election, it was announced overnight in New York City that vast irregularities and mistakes were made,” Trump wrote, according to the Daily News. “The fact is, based on what has happened, nobody will ever know who really won.”

The mocking message from Trump followed the city's Board of Elections withdrawing unofficial ranked-choice voting tallies Tuesday in the Democratic mayoral primary. A "discrepancy" later revealed to be 135,000 test votes included in the tally prompted the massive do-over.
Trump — who has famously divorced from his hometown of New York City — pounced on the opportunity to pile on.

“Watch the mess you are about to see in New York City, it will go on forever,” Trump wrote, according to the Daily News. “They should close the books and do it all over again, the old-fashioned way.”
Mayoral front-runner Eric Adams forcefully rebutted Trump's comparison with the 2020 election.
"As always, Trump gets it wrong," Adams tweeted. "Yesterday, the results released by the BOE had discrepancies which are being addressed. There were NO similar issues in November. Neither of these elections were a hoax or a scam."

We need to count every vote. That takes time, and that's ok. https://t.co/UeSrBOs2Bl
