Firefighters responded to Trump International Hotel in Columbus Circle early Friday morning to extinguish a fire on the 47th floor.

UPPER WEST SIDE, NY — A dozen fire department units responded to Trump International Hotel & Tower in Columbus Circle early Friday morning to extinguish a fire that broke out on the building's 47th floor, an FDNY spokesman told Patch.
Sixty-five firefighters were on scene to battle the blaze, which erupted around 4:12 a.m. and was brought under control by 5:19 a.m., the FDNY spokesman said. One person was treated for minor injuries due to smoke inhalation and released at the scene, the spokesman told Patch. While firefighters were on scene part of the building had to be evacuated, FDNY officials said.
The Trump International Hotel & Tower is not the same Trump Tower where First Lady Melania Trump and First Son Barron Trump live. The two currently reside in Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in Midtown Manhattan.
