PALM BEACH, FL — Donald Trump this week filed a lawsuit against New York Attorney General Letitia James — who is currently suing the former U.S. president over allegations of mass fraud — for pursuing a "relentless" and "unapologetic crusade."

The 41-page complaint filed in Florida State Circuit Court accuses James of a "war of intimidation and harassment" against Trump, his company and his family — whom the Attorney General has accused of a decade-long pattern of fraud.

Trump's lawsuit also seeks an injunction that would keep James from accessing or reviewing a revocable trust used to manage Trump's financial assets, according to the complaint.

"James’s longstanding and continued bias against President Trump and the Trump Organization is immediately and objectively apparent, demonstrated by her own oft-repeated statements," the lawsuit states.

James unveiled in September her long-anticipated lawsuit accusing Trump's company of grossly inflating the value of his properties, and the former president's net worth by billions of dollars, between 2011 and 2021.

"Claiming money that you do not have does not amount to the 'art of the deal,'" James said at the time. "It's the art of the steal."

The Attorney General seeks at least $250 million in fraudulently obtained benefits and to permanently bar the family from doing business in the state.

James said a three-year investigation showed the defendants — Trump, his children Don Jr., Eric and Ivanka, their business's former chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg and the Trump Organization itself — violated several state and federal criminal laws including falsifying business records and bank fraud.

Among other accusations, investigators contend Trump had, among other fraud, inflated the value of a Trump Tower triplex apartment on Fifth Avenue by claiming it spanned more than 30,000 square feet.

Trump's lawsuit was filed hours after a New York judge denied James' request to move her suit to another division of New York State court, CNN reported.

In a statement posted to Truth Social, Trump said “Crooked and highly partisan James now thinks it is the business of the State of New York to go after my revocable trust and pry into my private estate plan."

“If I were not elected President of the United States, and now leading in the polls by substantial margins against both Democrats and Republicans, this would not be happening,” the former president wrote without evidence.

Trump and James are due in court Thursday for their first hearing since James filed her lawsuit, according to CNN.

James is expected to ask a New York judge to appoint someone to monitor the trust as well as request the court require approval before any Trump assets are moved, CNN reported. Trump previously tried to block James' investigation, but a judge denied the effort. His lawyers have appealed.
