NEW YORK, NY — The United States woman's team started off its World Cup campaign with a completely dominant 13-0 win over Thailand. Star player Alex Morgan scored a stunning five goals, and the U.S.A team averaged a goal every seven minutes.
The team looks to continue that hot start against Chile on Sunday, June 16 at 12 p.m. Chile struggled in their first game, losing to Sweden 2-0. The U.S.A, which currently holds the number one ranking in the world, will go into the game as massive favorites as the Chile team ranks at just 39th — five spots below the Thailand team that the United States demolished.
With the United States team picking up momentum, the game on Sunday is going to be must watch TV.
