Video: 12-Year-Old Girl Struck By BMW In NYC Hit-And-Run
A shocking video shows a motorist plow into a young girl Sunday, flinging her over a car, before driving off, police said.

NEW YORK CITY — A Bronx hit-and-run left a 12-year-old girl injured when the driver of BMW rammed into her and sent her — and her shoes — flying through the air, video shows.
Video released by NYPD officials shows a jarring Sunday afternoon crash that the girl miraculously survived with cuts and bruises, police said.
Police said it unfolded about 4:25 p.m. along Boone Avenue near East 174th Street.

The video shows the girl run from between two parked vehicles into the road, where a dark BMW sedan was speeding toward her.
The moment of impact is partially blurred in the NYPD's video, but the girl appears to flip over the car's hood and roof. Her shoes fly through the air and land several feet away.

The car's driver stopped for a moment before pulling away, the video shows.
Police are looking for the driver.
