Snow To Hit NYC Again, But Thaw On Way

NEW YORK CITY — Winter-weary New Yorkers have hope — warmer weather is on the way.

Temperatures will reach as high as 46 degrees this week, according to the latest National Weather Service forecast.

Snow and rain isn't completely out of the picture yet, however. Monday has a 90 percent chance of precipitation, the forecast warns.

"A chance of snow before noon, then rain and snow between noon and 2pm, then rain after 2pm," the forecast for Monday states.

But temperatures will reach a high of 38 on Monday, setting up a week of relatively-warmer weather that likely will be welcomed by New Yorkers tired of hunkering down and digging out from a recent spate of snow storms.

A chance of snow before noon, then rain and snow between noon and 2pm, then rain after 2pm. High near 38. South wind 11 to 14 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Little or no snow accumulation expected.

Rain likely, mainly before 7pm. Cloudy, then gradually becoming partly cloudy, with a low around 34. West wind 10 to 13 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
