Government offices will be closed, including the Department of Motor Vehicles, city and state courts, Social Security offices, and city offices.

All New York City schools are closed. There is no mail delivery on Veterans Day, as all post offices are closed. All branches of the city's public library system are also closed.

Parking regulations, including meters, remain in effect; however, street cleaning rules (Alternate Side Parking) are suspended.

What's still operating

The Department of Sanitation will operate as usual for trash, recycling, and compost collection.
