Yankees Game Postponed: Wednesday Doubleheader Vs. Cleveland Scheduled

A Tuesday night game against the Cleveland Indians will be made up during a Wednesday doubleheader.

THE BRONX, NY — Tuesday night's New York Yankees game against the Cleveland Indians has been postponed, Yankees team officials announced on social media.

The game, which was originally scheduled to start shortly after 7 p.m. Tuesday, will be made up during a Wednesday doubleheader, according to team officials. Fans with tickets to Tuesday night's game will not be able to attend Wednesday's doubleheader, but will be able to trade in their tickets for any remaining regular season game this season.

Only fans with tickets dated Wednesday, Aug. 30, will be able to attend the 1 p.m. doubleheader. The second game of the doubleheader will start around 30 minutes after the first game ends, according to team officials.

Rainy weather is expected to persist through the night until about 5 a.m. in the Bronx, according to weather forecasts.
