2 Robbers Accost, Beat Man Walking In Spring Valley: PD
The assailants demanded money, then attacked the victim when he refused to hand any over, according to police.
SPRING VALLEY, NY — Police have arrested two Ramapo men in connection with a March 2 robbery and beating.
Det. Sgt. Randy DiPaolo said police were summoned around 3:46 a.m. to Union Road for a report of a robbery.
The victim told police he had been walking in the area of North Madison Avenue and Maple Avenue when two men approached and demanded money.

When the victim refused to comply, one suspect assaulted him and held him down, while the other robber removed his wallet, police said.
The victim suffered injuries to his face and had to be transported to a local hospital for treatment, according to police.

Following an investigation, police arrested two Ramapo residents, Jose Sarceno-Medrano, 18, and Josset Barrera-Cazco, 26.
Sarceno-Medrano was charged Wednesday with second-degree robbery and fourth-degree grand larceny.
Barrera-Cazco was arrested Thursday and charged with second-degree robbery, fourth-degree grand larceny, and third-degree assault, police said.
Both have been arraigned in the Village of Spring Valley Justice Court. As of Friday, neither had posted bail and both remained in custody at the Rockland County Jail.
