Van Hits Mom, Kids on Route 59 [VIDEO]

The road was closed for hours during the accident investigation.

UPDATE: Four children and an adult were seriously injured when a van struck them Monday on Route 59. Police are still investigating. According to News 4 New York, a 3-month-old infant, was in cardiac arrest and his 8-year-old brother suffered traumatic injuries. Two girls, 8 and 13, were seriously injured.

They and the woman, who was also seriously injured, were taken to Westchester Hospital Center.

Route 59 reopened at about 5:30 p.m. after police investigation and clean up at the scene.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Four pedestrians were hit by a van on Route 59 at Robert Pitt Drive Monday. They have been taken to local hospitals. Route 59 is closed while police investigate.
