7 Candidates Vye for 4 Clarkstown School Board Seats
New polling places have been designated for the May 19 vote.
Editor’s note: Voters will be filling three (3) three-year terms from July 1, 2015, and one (1) one-year term (May 20, 2015 - June 30, 2016) on the ballot in the Clarkstown Central School District. The number of seats open was incorrect in the original version of this report. Patch regrets the error.
On May 19, taxpayers will be asked to choose four candidates from the seven included on the ballot. Three of the elected candidates will be appointed to serve the usual three-year term. The fourth candidate elected will complete the remaining one year of Diane Hoeneveld’s term, left open by her death in December of last year. In January of this year, Kevin Grogan was appointed by the BOE and temporarily fill this open BOE seat until the election on May 19.
Seven candidates are running for four seats on the Clarkstown Board of Education.
