78-year-old Drives into New City Bank

The structural integrity of the little strip mall will be evaluated.

NEW CITY, NY — A car drove into the front of the M&T Bank at 228 S. Main St. at 2:30 p.m., Clarkstown police reported.

There were no injuries reported.

The vehicle accelerated over the curb and into the window.

The 78-year-old driver was not injured and no summonses have been issued. The cause of the accident is still under investigation, police said.

The Clarkstown Building Inspector is responding to the scene to evaluate the structural integrity of the location.
