Aggressive Driving Targeted On Palisades Parkway In Rockland: NYSP
State troopers, sometimes assisted by Rockland Sheriff's deputies, wrote 993 tickets in a two-week campaign.

ROCKLAND COUNTY, NY — Because of numerous motor vehicles crashes on the Palisades Interstate Parkway resulting in fatal and serious injuries, New York State police conducted an Aggressive Driving Campaign May 15 - 28.
On several occasions, the NYSP was assisted by the Rockland Sheriff’s Office, state police said.
The results of the two-week detail: 993 tickets, 527 of them for speeding, and 8 Driving While Intoxicated arrests.

"Motorists can expect to see more details on The Palisades Parkway for the foreseeable future," police said. "We encourage all drivers to drive safely, slow down, stay off of all electronic devices, do not consume alcohol or any other type of drug while driving, and respect other motorists."
