Weather forecast:

  • Friday: Partial sunshine, with a high of 81 and low of 66 degrees.

📰 News we're reading

• Clarkstown Proposes Six-Month Building Moratorium (rocklandnews.com) — Clarkstown officials are weighing a six‑month pause on large new developments, with a key public hearing set for Sept. 15 at Town Hall in New City. The proposed moratorium would temporarily restrict big residential, commercial, and industrial projects—like AI data centers—while the town reviews zoning, infrastructure, traffic, and open‑space preservation. Smaller projects and Nanuet Hamlet Center plans would largely continue unaffected.
