Anti-Semitism as Rockland Reacts to East Ramapo Recommendations
A comment on a Rockland County Times post wishes gas chamber-like fates on members of the Board of Education.
A comment on an open letter written by an East Ramapo school board member echoes Adolf Hitler’s “Final Solution” for the Jews.
East Ramapo school board member Yonah Rothman wrote a letter to the state-appointed school district monitor that was published Dec. 17 in the Rockland County Times.
He said the recommendations given to the state Board of Regents were offensive and disappointing. Offensive to the Jewish community to ”recommend the installation of an overseer whose express purpose is to overturn policies preferred by the District’s Jewish community and enacted by duly elected representatives?” And disappointing because “even though we have been repeatedly abused, blamed, and personally vilified by those who appointed and preceded you, we took a risk and trusted you.”

Rothman said: “Despite your protests to the contrary, this is very personal. Your report gives ammunition to the same extremists who invaded my home, frightened my family, and tried to intimidate me into resigning my seat. You have validated the views of people who call us criminals, looters, and worse.”
In a comment on Rothman’s letter in the Rockland County Times, Edward Branca recommended a way to “solve the problem once and for all” that echoed the Third Reich.

The East Ramapo School Board needs a massive cleaning up. The Board’s members should be escorted to a shower room and given a good group shower. That would solve the East Ramapo problem once and for all.
