Authorities Release Identity Of Driver Killed In Palisades Single-Car Crash As 67-Year-Old NY Man
The Pomona man was extricated from the vehicle by passerby, but was later pronounced dead at Montefiore Nyack Hospital.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — The victim of a deadly Palisades crash has been identified by New York State Police.
On Thursday, at 9:16 a.m., troopers out of the Haverstraw barracks responded to a single-vehicle collision on the northbound Palisades Interstate Parkway, near mile marker 18.6 at Exit 9E, in the Town of Clarkstown.
Investigators said a 2016 Subaru was traveling north in the left lane of travel, when, for reasons still under investigation, the car veered onto the eastern shoulder and struck the guide rail.

The driver and sole occupant, identified as 67-year-old Joseph T. Wolosz, of Pomona, was extricated from the vehicle by passerby. Emergency responders performed life-saving measures at the scene before he was rushed to Montefiore Nyack Hospital, where he later died.
The investigation remains ongoing, according to NYSP.
