Beth Davidson Announces New Endorsements from Key Democratic Committees and Officials across NY-17

Now leads with more backers than any other Democratic primary candidate in campaign against Rep. Mike Lawler

Beth Davidson’s Congressional campaign in New York’s 17th District has announced new endorsements from across the district, solidifying her position as the Democratic primary candidate with over 150 endorsements, more than any other candidate, in the race against Republican Rep. Mike Lawler.

The newest endorsers include Sleepy Hollow village trustee and Democratic leader Cory Krall, the Sleepy Hollow, Clarkstown and Mt. Pleasant Democratic Committees; former Rockland Young Democrats president and former LGBT Caucus of Young Democrats of America vice-chair Joe Coe and Joanne Sold, chair of the Mt. Pleasant Democratic Committee

I’ve gotten to know Beth Davidson over the past year, and she's the kind of leader who backs up her words with action from pushing forward gun safety efforts to leading protections for immigrant families and working to lower cost for residents," said Krall. “I've seen firsthand how she shows up for people with integrity, humility, and a real commitment to making government work. I know Beth is the candidate that will flip NY 17 and also deliver for us when she's in Congress”.

“2026 is a critical election year and the Clarkstown Democratic executive committee is proud to endorse Beth Davidson for Congress in NY17,” said the committee in a statement.“We're energized to support a candidate that brings the experience and focus needed to deliver results for Clarkstown and Rockland County”.

“It's so important that we have a representative like Beth in Congress to represent all the diverse interests and institutions,” said Coe, adding, “we need a leader in Congress who’s going to fight for people like me,”

“I am proud to endorse Beth Davidson for Congress, having spent more than a year getting to know Beth,” said Sold. “I am certain she is the strongest candidate in this field. She delivers results as deep roots in the community, runs disciplined and winning campaigns and has what it takes to beat Mike Lawler this November”.

“I'm so grateful for the support of these Democratic leaders and committees,” said Davidson. “I am proud to have the endorsement of Cory Krall and the Sleepy Hollow Democrats and Joanne Sold and the Mt. Pleasant Democratic Committee,” adding , “I’m also proud to be a 10-year member of the Clarkstown Democratic Committee, whose support I truly appreciate, and am thrilled to have Joe Coe’s endorsement of this campaign, all of whom will help us flip NY17 in November!”

Davidson, a former Nyack School Board vice president and current Rockland County legislator , is the only candidate in the NY-17 Democratic congressional primary who has won previous election campaigns against Republicans and holds public legislative office. As a local elected official, Davidson has worked on issues from gun safety to clean water, open-space preservation, affordable healthcare and tax relief. A cancer survivor and IVF mom, she and her husband, Jeff, moved 20 years ago to Nyack, where they are raising their two children.

New York’s 17th Congressional District includes all of Rockland and Putnam Counties, northern Westchester County, and part of Dutchess County.
