Cops: Boy Lured into Sex with Nyack Teen through Wrestling, Snapchat
There may be other victims, Clarkstown police said, asking parents with kids in Rockland and Westchester wrestling programs to have a chat.

An 18-year-old Nyack man is under arrest, accused of criminal sex acts against a young teenaged boy, and Clarkstown police are concerned that there may be more victims out there.
Police said that Marcus Stroud had become acquainted with the victim through a wrestling program. Stroud has been involved in wrestling programs in Rockland, Westchester and Bergen counties serving as a volunteer coach.
Stroud lured the victim to engage in sexual acts through the use of Snapchat and other social media outlets, police allege.

The initial social media contact began in December 2015. Stroud was arrested Feb. 22 after the victim’s parents reported the issue to police.
Stroud was charged with criminal sexual act 2nd (felony), sex abuse 2nd (misdemeanor), sexual misconduct (misdemeanor) and endangering the welfare of a child (misdemeanor).

When he was arraigned in Clarkstown Justice Court, bail was set at $100,000. He was transported to the Rockland County Jail. His next appearance in court was set for Feb. 24.
The detectives assigned to the case have concerns there may be other victims. Police ask that parents who have children in programs involving Stroud engage in dialogue with their children to ensure that they have not fallen victim to this kind of crime.
