Broadway Bound Musical, On the Air, Makes Rockland County Premiere
From the sibling team that brought you Family Album, comes a new Broadway bound musical making its Rockland premiere!

On the Air, a new musical penned by Rockland residents and siblings Cristina Farruggia (Book & Lyrics) and Robert Farruggia (Music, Book, & Lyrics) will be presented in concert as a fundraiser for Antrim Playhouse on April 12th at 3pm. The original musical is based on the lives of Jack and Loretta Clemens, a real life sibling, Vaudeville duo turned Radio and TV stars. Since the Farruggia siblings also portray the Clemens siblings in the show, it is the first musical in history about a brother and sister, written by a brother and sister, starring a brother and sister.
This past September, On the Air had a successful industry reading in New York directed by Tony Nominee Hunter Foster. It was also one of ten new works chosen as part of the PiTCH Reading Series as part of the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival in Auburn, NY. Later this year, it will be receiving a reading at The York Theatre, Off Broadway. Antrim Playhouse’s presentation of On the Air will mark the musical’s Rockland County premiere.
