Please join us for an important community conversation about the future of healthcare.
Healthcare costs, quality of care, and access to care are top-of-mind concerns for families and communities across NY-17. This non-partisan community forum brings together residents, healthcare stakeholders, and community leaders to better understand the changes happening in our federal healthcare system and what they could mean for you and your family.
We’ll discuss recent legislation making significant changes to programs including Medicare, Medicaid, and the Affordable Care Act, as well as additional healthcare ideas being considered by Congress.
Most importantly, this forum is an opportunity to listen, learn, ask questions, and share perspectives. By bringing all stakeholders to the table, we hope to foster an informed and constructive conversation about community health and the future of healthcare.
Come be part of the conversation. Your voice and your questions matter.
We look forward to seeing you there!

Jawonio 2026 Virtual Gala: Help Keep the Promise
When your child needs help, when someone you love is struggling, or when you worry about their future, having somewhere to turn means everything.
For thousands of children, adults and families across Rockland and Westchester, that place is Jawonio.
Join NBC 4 New York meteorologist Janice Huff on Sunday, December 6, 2026, at 11:30 a.m. for the 7th Annual Jawonio Virtual Gala, streaming at jawonio.org.
Through moving personal stories, meet the people, families and staff who show what support makes possible: a child finding their voice, an adult building independence, a person finding meaningful employment, and someone taking the next step toward mental health recovery.
This year, the need for your support is especially urgent. Fundraising has fallen behind, and the gala raises essential funds to help sustain services that families count on every day. As you plan your holiday giving, please make room for Jawonio.
We are proud to recognize our 2026 honorees:

Friends Award: Hon. Lou Falco and Hon. Lon Hofstein

Corporate Partner Award: USI Insurance Services, represented by Jack Coomber and Mary Jo Jacobs

Sandy Sewell Advocacy Award: Scott Salmon
