Brooklyn Man Dies In Rockland County Crash
The red Chevrolet Silverado was southbound, and police are asking anyone who may have seen it before the accident to call them.
CLARKSTOWN, NY — A Brooklyn man driving a car with South Carolina plates died Friday in a single-car crash on the Palisades Parkway, New York State police said.
Troopers were called out at about 2 a.m. to the southbound side of the parkway near exit 7.
They found members of the Nanuet Fire Department extricating a man from the driver's seat of a red 2002 Chevrolet Silverado, which had hit a tree off the road to the west.

The driver, later identified as Gustavo Merino-Moreno, 30, was removed from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene.
