Clarkstown Cops Block Thruway Entrances After TZB Crane Collapse
Clarkstown police warn residents to expect extensive delays.

Clarkstown police warn residents that the New York State Thruway Authority has initiated the Tappan Zee Bridge Diversion Plan due to the Tuesday noon crane accident on the bridge.
All entrance ramps in the Town of Clarkstown to southbound I-87 are being blocked by Clarkstown patrol units, prohibiting cars from entering the Thruway.
The exits affected are 11, 12, 13 and 14.

"We anticipate the bridge to be closed for a few hours," Clarkstown police said. "Avoid the Tappan Zee Bridge and surrounding area and expect extensive traffic delays."

There were three minor injuries when the crane collapsed, officials said.
