Clarkstown Cops Find Mysterious Doorbell-Ringer

A woman ringing doors around Clarkstown and Orangetown was interviewed by detectives.

Clarkstown police investigated reports that over the past week or so an unknown female had been spotted in neighborhoods spanning both towns of Clarkstown and Orangetown. The detectives verified that her actions were completely legitimate.

"Pictures of this individual and sightings of her around neighborhoods has increased concern on social media and multiple calls have been generated within our jurisdiction about her suspicious actions," police said.

The Clarkstown Detective Bureau took this investigation very seriously and gathered enough information to be able to identify this woman and conduct an interview with her, police said. She is employed by a local mortgage field services company. Her employer sends her to customers’ homes to photograph them and verify that the homes are actually occupied. Her employer was contacted and her actions were verified.
