Clarkstown High School Sports Back in Full Swing
Training begins for most fall sports as coaches look to get their athletes back into game shape.
Clarkstown high school fall sports all got back into action this week by holding their respective training camps.
With games starting for each sport in less than a month, the athletes are working their hardest to get themselves ready for the upcoming season.
Clarkstown North and South football teams both held optional summer workouts to get the cardiovascular levels of their players up. On Monday, both North and South football began official training. These camps include two-a-day practices and specific work with all positions to find out who will be the starters come the first game of the season.

Tennis was working on general skills, serving and returning while practing doubles. Field Hockey was holding a scrimage amongst themselves to get into game shape. This warm summer weather is a key aspect of practice, and come fall, if there is a particularly hot day, the athletes will be ready and able to play on.
The season begins for most fans, friends and family at game one. For these Clarkstown North and South athletes, training camps are an essential part of the season, which for them began on the first day of practice.
