UPDATE: Suspicious Container Not Explosive Device, Classes Will Resume Thursday
The suspicious package was found by a teacher outside a second-floor classroom.

WEST NYACK, NY — Police said the suspicious container that forced the district to evacuate Clarkstown High School South Wednesday was not an explosive device.
News 12 said a teacher found a bottle filled with an unknown substance outside a second-floor classroom around 11 a.m.
After-school activities were canceled, but classes will resume Thursday.

According to the Clarkstown Police Department Facebook page, the department is investigating the bomb threat and the school district made the decision to evacuate the school.
Police said students are being bused home.
