The finalists were named in a letter to the community from school board President Mike Aglialoro.
three current New York State school superintendents have been identified as finalists in our search process. These candidates were selected from an experienced and highly qualified group of applicants. Selection was based on your survey responses and interviews with a broad cross-section of district stakeholders and with the Board of Education. Each has also been vetted by our superintendent search firm.

The finalists for the Clarkstown superintendent position are as follows and are presented in alphabetical order:
- Dr. Douglas S. Adams, Superintendent, Ramapo Central School District
- Mr. Martin D. Cox, Superintendent, Sodus Central School District
- Dr. Jeffrey R. Rabey, Superintendent, Depew Union Free School District
As a next step in the process, the candidates will each spend a day in our district. During that time, the candidate will do site visits to select elementary and secondary schools. In addition, an open session will be held for each candidate where you and all members of the community will have the opportunity to meet the candidate and ask questions. The Board will be asking for your feedback from these sessions. Each candidate will also be meeting with the Board of Education for a follow up interview. These visits will occur the week of January 11, 2016. We will provide additional information on dates and times once the schedules are finalized.
Following the above, the Board will meet to review the feedback received and begin the final review process. Due diligence and a site visit will take place prior to the final selection. We anticipate an announcement of the new superintendent in February for the upcoming school year.
