Clarkstown North Student to Play Carnegie Hall

She is one of the winners of the Rondo Young Artist Vanguard Competition

First place winners of the first annual Rondo Young Artist Vanguard Competition, an international concert showcase that gives five- to 18- year-old musicians a taste of the professional musician’s life through touring and performing, will debut at Carnegie Hall March 6.

Pianist Julia Furlan, a student at Clarkstown High School North, will be one of the performers.

“[Rondo gives] so much personal attention to each participant in guiding their forming careers,” says Emilia Oskotsky, the festival’s executive director and one of its founders. “This is what makes us special and keeps students coming back year after year. We develop a long lasting relationship with them and their families.”
