Clarkstown Police Donate Tactical Vests And Helmets To Ukraine
The department said the surplus protective equipment will be delivered to the Ukrainian people as war rages in their country.
CLARKSTOWN, NY — The Clarkstown Police Department is doing their part to help the people of Ukraine withstand the devastating Russian invasion of their country.
Chief Jeffrey Wanamaker, Det. Lt. Thomas Ronan, Det. Thomas Curley and Det. Christopher Kiernan surprised a police department in Pennsylvania that was collecting supplies for Ukraine, by personally delivering an impressive cargo of much needed ballistic gear. The local contingent from the Hudson Valley presented the Falls Township Police Department with a shipment of 50 tactical ballistic vests and 25 ballistic helmets.
Officials in Falls Township, marveling at the scale their Falls Township Police Department colleagues' largess, noted that the donation "needed two pictures to fit it all in," in a social media post thanking Clarkstown PD.
