Clarkstown Police Issue Alert For Missing Endangered 26-Year-Old
Police are asking for the public's help finding Derek Appiah, who was last seen walking to work at Costco, on Nov. 14.

NANUET, NY — Police are asking for help locating a missing person who was last seen Nov. 14.
Update: Clarkstown police posted Tuesday night that Derek Appiah was located and is safe. No further details were given.
Derek Appiah was last seen leaving his residence on Nov. 14, at 9:30 a.m., according to Clarkstown police. He was on his way to the Costco in Nanuet, where he worked, just a 10-minute walk from his home. The 26-year-old never arrived at work and has had no contact with his friends or family.

Appiah has left for several days in the past without contacting anybody and was known to frequent the Bronx during those times, according to police.
According to NBC's Dateline: Missing in America, there has been no activity on Appiah'sphone or bank account since Nov. 14. Dateline also said that Appiah's family is asking anyone who goes to church services to be on the lookout for him since he is very active in his own church and may seek solace in one.

The Clarkstown Police Department is circulating a recent photograph of Appiah.
He is described as Black, has black hair and brown eys, is 5'11'' and weighs approximately 180 pounds.
According to Dateline, he was last seen wearing a navy blue long-sleeved shirt, khaki pants and black sneakers. He also had his work reflector vest with him.
Clarkstown police are asking anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Appiah to contact them at 845-639-5800.
