At a glance:

  • Town remains officially open.
  • Justice Court is OPEN.
  • Mini Trans is operating on normal schedule. (Route A has been re-routed to Rt. 303 and off of Mountainview Avenue due to icy conditions.)
  • All Recreation programs are cancelled today including: Senior Clubs, Pre-school, Drop-in gym, Helping Hands, High Five, Acting Fundamentals, Engineering Fundamentals.
  • At this time, all Clarkstown Recreation community centers will open as normal at 2pm. However, please call the centers before arrival to confirm.
  • According to the Town Highway Superintendent and Police Department the following roads are closed.
    • Casper Hill Road, Valley Cottage (remains open only for local traffic and residents)
    • Old Mill Road from Strawtown Road to Snake Hill Road is temporarily closed due to an accident

“The Clarkstown Highway Department is working tirelessly to keep our roads cleared. Please be patient as they work to do so. Please remove any vehicles from the roadway, as this slows down the snow removal process. Expect a large amount of snow to be plowed at the end of your driveway. This snow cannot be removed by the Highway Department. Please make arrangements for the removal of snow from your driveway,” Gromack wrote in an email to residents.
