Clarkstown School Board To Hold Policy, Budget Workshops

NEW CITY, NY — The Clarkstown Board of Education will begin its meeting Thursday with a workshop on how the district's official policies are made and revised.

Confusion about the process was evident in February when revisions were made to the official policies on choosing textbooks and library materials. SEE: Reaction As Clarkstown Schools Revise Textbook, Library Materials

It's a packed agenda. On Thursday, the trustees are expected to go into executive session at 6 p.m., then return at 7:30 for the policy development workshop, according to the District Clerk. At 8 p.m. the Board will begin the regular meeting to address public agenda items and also conduct a budget workshop.

The meeting will be in the Clarkstown High School South Auditorium.
