
Clarkstown voters approved a $195.5 million budget for 2016-17 with a 2 percent increase over current spending.
The vote was 2,371 yes to 955 no.
A last-minute write-in campaign was run by outgoing Clarkstown school Trustee Wendy Adolff, who had said she wasn't seeking re-election.

However, the two candidates on the ballot, Walter Litvak and Zizette Deutsch, collected the most votes.
