Clarkstown School Trustees Call Special Closed Session
The school budget and board vote is May 17 and the Board of Education is behind schedule picking a new superintendent for the district.
CLARKSTOWN, NY — The Clarkstown Board of Education will hold a special meeting on Friday via Zoom.
The trustees missed the board's self-imposed deadline for picking a new superintendent. The search for a replacement for Martin Cox, ousted in September, has gone on for more than four months. SEE: Cox Out As Superintendent Of Clarkstown Schools
The trustees hired consultants McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C. in December and set May 5 as the deadline for announcing a new superintendent. Closing date for applications was March 4; the board interviewed semifinalists the week of April 18; finalist interviews started at the end of April.
