Clarkstown Welcomes New K9 Named for Nyack Hero
Remy is named for Welles Remy Crowther, who died saving others on 9/11.

The Clarkstown Police Department welcomed its newest K9 officer, Remy, with a Saturday ceremony.
Rockland County Kennel Club funded the purchase and training of “Remy” with a donation of $12,500. The donation was made in honor of Welles Remy Crowther, “The Man In The Red Bandana”, a lifelong resident of Nyack, who died while rescuing others at the World Trade Center Sept. 11, 2001.
Remy’s partner is Officer Robert Reekie.
