Congers Woman Charged with Felony DWI

Clarkstown police found her walking near her car.

Clarkstown Police received a call at 6 p.m. Dec. 16 about a suspicious person on Meriweather Trail in Congers.

The responding officers saw Nancy Sheridan walking in the roadway near her vehicle.

Sheridan, a Congers resident, was exhibiting signs of intoxication, police said. Field Sobriety tests were administered and Sheridan was arrested for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated.

The DWI was charged as a felony because she has a prior conviction for DWI within the last 10 years.

She was also charged with First Degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle.

Sheridan, 51, was arraigned before Hon. Craig Johns at Clarkstown Justice Court and bail was set at $5,000. She is due back in town court Dec. 22.
