Cops: 14 Lbs of Marijuana Found in Thruway Traffic Stop

State Police stopped a vehicle on I-87 for a traffic violation at about 8 p.m. March 9.

They allege that the driver of the vehicle, Jean C. Vazquez Tamerez, 25, was in possession of more than 14 pounds of marijuana.

He was charged with Criminal Possession of Marijuana in the 1st Degree, a Class C Felony.

The Albany resident was arraigned before the Town of New Windsor Court and sent to the Orange County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond, police said.
