Cops Help Stranded Motorist, Make Thruway Drug Bust
Two Connecticut residents were stopped in Clarkstown, NY.

CLARKSTOWN, NY — State police stopped on the New York State Thruway to assist someone who ran out of gas on Sunday. They ended up arresting two New Haven, Connecticut residents.
Police said that when they interviewed Rojay K. Kidd and his passenger Jason J. Blair, they found that Kidd was not a licensed driver. That gave them probable cause to search the two and the vehicle after it was inventoried prior to being towed.
During the search, about 10 pounds of marijuana and $3,700 dollars in U.S. currency was located.
