Cops Share Video Of Car Suspected Of Congers Hit-And-Run

CONGERS, NY — The Clarkstown Police Department is asking for anyone who with information about a Tuesday morning incident in which a child was hit by a car which fled the scene. Anyone in the area with additional information should contact the police department at 845-639-5800.

At about 8:05 a.m., the Clarkstown Police Department responded to the intersection of Lakewood Drive and Lakeland Avenue in Congers for a report of a child struck by a vehicle.

Responding officers arrived on scene and began to administer first aid to a 7-year-old girl who appeared to have a broken leg.

The vehicle that struck the child fled the scene without stopping was last seen travelling eastbound on Lakewood Drive.
