Hogwash: Rockland County Exec on Ramapo Idea for LEGOLAND
Town officials this week moved to buy the old Novartis plant so they can lease it to the amusement park, according to news reports.
Balked of their plan to create a LEGOLAND theme park in Haverstraw, company officials are looking at the former Novartis plant in Suffern instead.
Now Ramapo town officials are considering buying the land themselves and then leasing it to the theme park company, according to the Rockland County Times.
That idea sparked this strong response from the Rockland County Executive.
