Deck Collapse Injures Six In Rockland
Police, fire and emergency medical personnel were called to the scene late Wednesday night.
MONSEY, NY — A deck with a sukkah on it collapsed in Rockland County Wednesday night, injuring six people. Fire, police and emergency medical services went to the scene, according to Rockland Fires.
There were about 30 people on the deck when it broke off the house at about 10 p.m., News 12 reported. Six people were taken to Nyack Hospital. None had life-threatening injuries.
The temporary hut was constructed for the Jewish feast of Sukkot which began Sept. 23 and ends Sept. 30.

The house, 18 Sam Law Dr, Monsey, NY 10952 is a single family home built in 1967, according to Realtor.com. Last sold for $200,000 in 2002, it currently has an estimated value of $602,400. According to the Monsey public records, the property has approximately 1,212 square feet, 3 beds, 2 full and 1 half baths with a lot size of 0.23 acres, Realtor.com said.
