Dense Fog: Special Weather Statement for Orange, Putnam, Rockland, Westchester
The National Weather Service warns of rapidly changing visibilities.

The National Weather Service has issued a Special Weather Statement for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester Counties May. 1. And apparently the NWS thinks fog will be a recurring problem, because the statement doesn't expire until May 3.
While visibilities are mainly 1 to 3 miles across the Tri-state this morning, they will fall to below 1 mile at times. In localized areas, visibilities could fall to one quarter mile or less, from time to time this morning.
Motorist should be on the lookout for rapidly changing visibilities. If reduced visibilities are encountered, reduce speed and use low beam headlights.
