The investigation began with a CyberTipline report from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that was referred to the Rockland County District Attorney's Office, a member agency of the New York State Police Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force.
Between Feb. 21, 2024, and June 19, 2024, Dworkin uploaded images and videos on his Google Drive account which depicted sexual performances by children less than 17 years of age.

The investigation culminated in the execution of search warrants on Dworkin's internet accounts, electronic devices, home and place of work. Dworkin was also ordered to pay a $1,000 fine and will be required to register as a sex offender after his release from prison.
"Every time this material is viewed, children are victimized again and again. We must protect our children," Walsh said. "The defendant knowingly contributed to ongoing harm, all while holding a position of public trust and authority, making this sentence both appropriate and necessary. The safety and wellbeing of our children is a top priority of the Rockland County District Attorney's Office."
The investigation was conducted by the Rockland County District Attorney's ICAC Task Force and Special Victims Unit with assistance from the Clarkstown Police Department and Homeland Security Investigations. The case was prosecuted by Supervising Assistant DA Gerard M. Damiani III of the Special Victims Unit.
