Michelle Ordynans Art Exhibit at JCC Rockland

A self-taught painter and
author of two novels, Michelle has exhibited in various venues in Rockland County, New York, as well as in the Sylvia Wald Po Kim Gallery, the Municipal Building, and the West Side Artist’s Coalition in Manhattan.

Michelle was a portrait painter for many years and has been commissioned to paint portraits.  After working in New York City she became fascinated by the color, geometry and energy of the streets. She began photographing the activity on the streets which inspired her cityscape paintings. The perspective and geometry of the people on the street reflect the geometry of the tall buildings, and are full of energy and color.

She is also inspired by international events, and has painted a touching portrait, Somali Woman, in response
to the inhumane encampment of women and children.
