Movement for Joy

MOVEMENT FOR JOY: A Dance Movement PROGRAM FOR PEOPLE with
PARKINSON’S, MS, MSA, MD, DMD, ARTHRITIS, or any movement disorders

Do you have any movement disorders, or do you know someone who does?  There’s a program in Rockland County bringing the joy of dancing through simple movements to anyone with limited or limiting movement disorders. The program is open to people  wheelchair-bound, ambulatory, or needing to be seated.

Dance Instructor: Janet Baker
Janet Baker, a dancer, eurythmist, and movement educator with over 25 years in expressive movement, specialized in bringing dance to non-traditional dance populations. She also trained in the Mark Morris Dance Group's Dance for PD. Janet has blended her years of experience and the Dance for PD model into simple and joyful movements for people with movement disorders:  Movement for Joy.
