Family Raising Funeral Funds For Slain Mom, Grandmother
A family tries to raise funds for funerals while a man accused of killing a new mother and her mom May 27 in Rockland faces murder charges.

A GoFundMe account is raising money for the funerals of Wanda and Kathleen Castor, who were shot dead May 27. A Hillcrest resident has been arrested and accused of their murders.
Kathleen's 1-month-old baby was left alive in the house on Lake Road in Valley Cottage. She is in the care of Rockland County Child Protective Services.
"Kathleen was so excited to be new mother and my aunt was excited to have her second grandchild. Especially since her son passed in 2016 and there would be no more children from him," page organizer Sharonda Jones said Sunday, sharing photos of the two women. "We are asking for your help to bury both my aunt and cousin."

Robert C. Williams III, 32, was arrested Saturday and is due in Rockland County Court Thursday.
"They didn’t deserve to die like that, GOD determines when we leave not some demonic person," Jones wrote.
