FREE Fight on Film Workshop with Fight Master, J. David Brimmer
free and open to the public
Ramapo- Learn the special skills required to stage and film exciting/realistic fight scenes at this free weekend workshop – August 7, 8, 9.

During the two and a half-day workshop, participants are introduced to the art of storytelling and learning the skills to simulate violence on-screen. Workshop leaders are RCC Performing Arts adjunct/Cultural Arts Theater Director Christopher Plummer (also a certified teacher through the Society of American Fight Directors), and professional in stage and screen and current SAFD President, J. David Brimmer. Brimmer has a long list of professional credits and is currently teaching Stage Combat at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts. Each participant will have the opportunity to collaborate and help arrange his or her own fight, and a final copy of their work will be provided after post-production editing.

August 7/ Day 1: Dinner and a Movie
Food, fun and films!
6:00 pm - 10:00 pm (includes dinner)

August 8/ Day 2: Choreography and Rehearsal
Choreographing/rehearsing and scouting locations for the shoot.
10:00 am – 6:00 pm (+ lunch break)

August 9/ Day 3: Shooting Day
Morning rehearsal on location and an afternoon of shooting scenes.
10:00 am – 5:00 pm (+ lunch break)
