Gloria Boccio passed away on September 24, 2014. She was born on January 25, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY. Gloria was married on June 18, 1950 to Joseph Boccio at Church of the Assumption in Queens, NY. She was a resident of New City for 45 years and an active member of St. Augustine’s Church. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother whose greatest joy came from her family.
Gloria is survived by her husband Joseph, daughters Joanne (Vincent) Margherita of Franklin Lakes, NJ; Marian (Christian) Hammaren of Westtown, NY; Jacqueline Boccio of Orlando, FL; brother Al Dias; sister Willimena DeLuca and grandchildren Gloria Boccio, Nicholas and Joseph Margherita. She is predeceased by a granddaughter Caitlin Hammaren (April 16, 2007).
Mass of Christian burial will be offered Friday September 26 at 10am St. Augustine’s Church. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Joe Raso Residence, c/o United Hospice of Rockland, 11 Stokum Lane, New City, NY 10956.
