HUDSON VALLEY, NY — Halloween 2017 is fast approaching, which means it's time to find the perfect Halloween costume and start watching your favorite spooky Halloween movies. It's also only a matter of days before hordes of trick-or-treaters land on your front stoop in search of the best candy in the neighborhood.

But what types of candy should you be stocking up on?

According to online candy distributor Candy Store, it all depends on where you live. The candy company did some digging into its sales data from the past 10 years and rounded up the top three best-selling candies in every state. While it's no surprise that classics like M&Ms, Snickers and Hershey's Kisses made the newly released list, wild cards like saltwater taffy and Swedish fish are a bit more unexpected.
