HUDSON VALLEY, NY — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous outlook for the lower Hudson Valley.
For Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties, the NWS says: Isolated strong to severe thunderstorms are possible during the afternoon and evening hours as a cold front passes through the area.
Scattered thunderstorms are also expected in Dutchess and Ulster.

- Tuesday - Mostly cloudy. A slight chance of showers early, then a chance of showers with a slight chance of thunderstorms this morning. Showers likely with a chance of thunderstorms this afternoon. Some thunderstorms may produce gusty winds this afternoon. Highs in the lower 70s. South winds around 5 mph, becoming west around 5 mph. Chance of rain 70 percent.
- Tuesday night - Mostly cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then partly cloudy after midnight. Some thunderstorms may produce gusty winds in the evening. Lows around 50. North winds 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 50 percent.
- Wednesday - Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph.
- Wednesday Night - Partly cloudy. Lows around 50. Northwest winds around 5 mph.
- Thursday - Mostly sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. North winds 5 to 10 mph with gusts up to 20 mph.
- Thursday Night - Partly cloudy in the evening, then clearing. Lows in the mid 40s.
- Friday - Sunny. Highs in the mid 60s.
- Friday Night - Mostly clear. Lows in the upper 40s.
- Saturday - Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s.
- Saturday Night - Partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 50s.
