The National Weather Service has issued two notices for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties.

The National Weather Service has issued two notices for Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester Counties:
With strong winds and dry conditions, the NWS warned, there's an increased risk of fires spreading.
Winds will be sustained around 15 to 25 mph with gusts to 40 mph. Meanwhile, drier conditions
have moved into the region following a cold frontal passage, with minimum RH values expected to fall into the teens to mid 20s this afternoon. Given antecedent drought conditions and drier fuels,
expect an enhanced threat of fire spread through today.
Also, the NWS said, wind chill values tonight will fall to around zero to -10 degrees.
